The MCNV philosophy is effective!
The MCNV has been supporting the people of Vietnam for 4 decades now, aiming at improving the health situation. Through its work in Vietnam the MCNV has become very much involved in the socio-economic development of the country. The MCNV has a big network of contacts and has accumulated a treasure of knowledge and experiences. Every year the MCNV evaluates its work and determines how to carry out its projects succesfully.
Effective and sustainable projects
The main focus is on effective and sustainable projects to be carried out by Vietnamese. The majority of the projects focus on those groups in the Vietnamese society that stay behind in the development of the country, i.e. mainly those who live in remote areas such as the central highlands.
Activities comprise:
Giving information, organising classes and training the trainers, as well as supporting various projects such as revalidation of handicapped people and children, integration of handicapped children in school, prevention of malaria and dengue fever, care for mother and child and prevention of HIV/aids. An important condition is the participation of the people themselves in the solving of their health problems and creating a better future.
